The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Plastic Extrusion Tooling Design Engineer with a passion for problem-solving and hands-on engineering. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and tuning complex extrusion tooling, from profile extrusion dies to vacuum calibration tooling. This position offers the unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborate with a small team, and grow with a company where everyone “wears many hats.”
What You’ll Do:
- Design and tune profile extrusion dies, co-extrusion & tri-extrusion dies
- Create tooling for vacuum calibration, rigid/flexible tubing, and downstream fixtures
- Work with CNC Router programming (Mastercam, Fusion 360)
- Manage multiple projects while supporting customer needs
- Communicate complex technical solutions in a clear way to non-engineers
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years of experience in extrusion tooling design or a degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of plastics/thermoplastics and extrusion processes
- Mastercam and Fusion 360 software proficiency
- A problem solver with excellent communication skills
- Eagerness to work in a dynamic, small-team environment
