Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development professional to join our team and spearhead my client’s efforts in selling to plastics injection molders and plastic injection mold builders. This is a high-profile role that their parent company, a $3 billion industry leader, is eager to fill. While they excel in selling to mold makers, we need a visionary who can penetrate and influence decision-makers within the plastic injection molders and OEM sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Craft and implement strategies to build a robust product portfolio that captures the attention of molders and OEMs. Your insights will guide our approach to market entry and product offerings.
  • Market Penetration: Utilize your expertise to identify and engage key decision-makers within molders and OEMs, driving sales and expanding our market presence.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our product management team to decide which products will open doors to new customers. Coordinate with our marketing team to develop compelling campaigns that resonate with our target audience.
  • Standards and Specifications: Navigate the complexities of tooling standards and OEM-specific requirements, ensuring our products are written into specifications and become the preferred choice.
  • Diverse Market Focus: While 45% of our business is currently in the automotive sector, we are keen to diversify, especially into the medical industry. Develop strategies to penetrate the medical market and drive significant growth.
